The Association of Relatives and Patients with Cancer of Torrevieja (AFECÁNCER), is an entity formed by people who have had a direct relationship with the cancer disease and who wish to invest their effort in helping, altruistically, those people who currently suffer from it. . We function as a block that tries to protect and promote the rights of people with cancer, trying to undertake all those actions aimed at increasing their well-being and quality of life.

AFECÁNCER is an independent non-profit association whose purpose is to defend the rights of people with cancer and their families, and to provide the necessary means to improve their quality of life. As priority activities are the information, social awareness, demand and provision of services and programs necessary to achieve their goals.

Goals:
• Claim before the Public Administration the necessary means to achieve comprehensive care in the different treatments, the improvement of existing services and the fulfillment of the rights of patients and family members.
• Defend the fulfillment of the rights of the sick and relatives before the competent authorities.
• Undertake social awareness actions that promote knowledge of oncological diseases and their prevention.
• Collaborate in the management of resources and the creation of programs for health and social support that improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
• Give a free public service for counseling, counseling and psychosocial support.
Transparency:
We commit ourselves to systematically carry out external audits of accounts and to publish external reports on transparency and good practices.
Democracy:
The Board of Directors made up of AFECÁNCER's members in the General Assembly, is in charge of electing the management team responsible for the management of the entity.
